Abstract
The phenomenon of land use change is a manifestation of the development of the modern economic era. Transfer of land functions in Sleman Regency in 2012-2016 multiplied the increase drawn from the map of processed products presented. This is due to the ever-increasing population and industry growth in Sleman Regency. This study aims to look for the impact of land use change which is proxy by the number of residents and small industries on poverty levels in Sleman Regency in the period 2012-2016. The data used in this study uses secondary data from various government agencies such as Pertaru, Bappeda, and BPS in Sleman Regency. The research method used in this study is panel data regression analysis of fixed effect models. Whereas for mapping using QGIS with land cover classification techniques. The results showed that in the 2012-2016 period, the population and small industry variables had a significant and negative effect on poverty levels in Sleman Regency. The coefficient of determination obtained is 97.26%. This means that the independent variable (population and small industry) is able to explain the dependent variable (poverty level) of 97.26% while the remaining 2.74% is explained by variables outside the model. Whereas the land use change occurred evenly in Sleman Regency. Areas where there is a high level of land use conversion in the suburbs, main roads and tourism rice field depreciation is happening in all districts in Sleman Regency with the development of settlements that continues to increase.
