Abstract
This research aims to: (1) The Effect of Self Regulated Learning-based strategy on the problem of simple harmonious motion material to the ability of the students and learning outcomes in SMA N 5 Yogyakarta, (2) Inscreased skills and learning outcomes of learnes in learning using Self Regulated Learning strategy based problem solving. This research is an experimental quasi research with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The data collection techniques used are test and non-test. The instrumeny on this study is a metter sheet of pretest-posttest problem solving skills and a self regulatory journal. The data analysis techniques used are non-parametric statistics with the Mann Whitney test, Normalized Gain (N-Gain) and descriptive analysis. The result of this study is that (1) Learning physics using Self Regulated Learning-based straregy problem solving affects the ability of metacognition and student learning outcomes on simple harmonious motion material with a level signifinance (Sig 2-tailed) of 0.001. The value shows less than signifinance value of<α=0.05 which means that Ho is rejected and Hα is accepted, (2) Learning physics using Self Regulated Learning-based strategies can improve the ability of students’ learning and student outcomes on simple harmonious motion material with N-Gain of 0.5904 in medium category. While learners’ ability to improve on each self-regulatory indicator is evidenced by the learners’ answer descriptions
