Abstract

Social assistance is a gift from the local government in the form of money or goods to individuals, families, groups, and communities that are not continuously and selectively to protect them from possible social risks. Provide social assistance on target is a must to ease the burden people in need. So far, the system to determine the poor community still using manual calculations, so mistakes are often encountered. Of course, this calculation errors make the people who need social assistance don't get help. The decision support system using Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) method of Technique for Order Prefence by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is a system that can provide alternative solutions and provide recommendations as consideration for making decisions quickly and accurately.The criteria used in this system are the amount of income, the amount dependents, age, education, land ownership, physical of house, and the number of motorcycles. This research uses Hypertext Preprosessor (PHP) and Database programming languages MySQL. The results of this study indicate that 100% of computer calculations are the same as the result of manual calculation.
