Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia has an important mission in dealing with the problem of radicalism. Knowledge and textual understanding can development radicalism thinking in religion. Education as transmission media of religion knowladge, has an important and strategic role in provide understanding and translating religious knowladge, attitude, and skills. Islamic religious education demand to create a good religious atmosphere in school so the students avoid radicalism. One of the thing that islamic education teacher to do practice deradicalization through affection based islamic education learning, where learning is not centered about knowledge aspect, but also prioritizes the attitude aspect. Junior high school 5 Yogyakarta as a leader school in Yogyakarta and development deradicalization program to students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to research the main issues related first, describe the de-radicalization program through affection based islamic education learning in Junior High School 5 Yogyakarta. Second, the strategy used in de-radicalization program through affection based islamic education learning in Junior High School 5 Yogyakarta . Third, the result of de-radicalization program through affection based islamic education learning in Junior High School 5 Yogyakarta This reasearch is a field reasearch using qualitative methods, in this research using in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Sources of data in this study include the principal, coordinator of affection program and islamic education teachers, OSIS and SKI (Islamic Spiritual Section), and students of Junior High School 5 Yogyakarta. The result of this study indicate that 1) the affection-based PAI learning program is an official decision from mayor’s decree Yogyakarta Number : 277/KEP/20009 date June 30, 2009 and still valid until today, which is adjusted to needs of the school as an effort to deradicalize and instill morals noble. The deradicalization program is implemented by creating a school culture and social workers. The implementation of the seradicalization program was carried out by involving of Catur Pusat Pendidikan, namely schools, families, communities, and places of woship. 2) The strategy program of deradicalisation throuh affection-based islamic education learning are carried out in several stages namely a) preparation of syllabus b) preparation of teacher competencies c) implementation of deradicalization programs involving ‘catur pusat pendidikan’ d) evaluation or asessment. Based on the result of the study, the deradicalization program through affection-based islamic education learning in Junior High School 5 Yogyakarta can be said successful. This program is realized with an indikator of diversity among students and all school members whether there is no conflict or diversity beetwen religious communities, and teachers can work together with various parties in supporting the de-radicalization program in Junior High School 5 Yogyakarta.
