Abstract
The population growth in Indonesia from year to year has experienced a very significant increase, this is certainly a problem that will continue to emerge if it is not immediately resolved. Therefore the government through the P3AP2KB service has a strategy that can later provide awareness to the local community through family planning activities programs. Therefore the government continues to strive to reduce the rate of population growth through the KB village program, in accordance with the instructions of President of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo, in 2016. Through this KB village forum, the KB village programs will be implemented, therefore the P3AP2KB service has a communication strategy in providing awareness to the community, namely through socialization and counseling. The method used in this research is a case study that seeks to explain clearly and with descriptive type. The approach taken is the stages of research by observation, interview. So that it can be seen how the communication strategy carried out by the P3AP2KB Sleman Regency and how it is carried out in public awareness through the KB village formation program. In the research that has been conducted that the communication strategy conducted by P3AP2KB to give awareness to the community is through the program of the village of KB by providing socialization and counseling. The strategy was well executed by the KB village and underwent a very significant change.
