Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Education Field has strongly encouraged the Indonesian government to issue policies related to remote learning methods. Fortunately, technology is currently developing more advanced, one of which is in the form of an online school. According to the observation conducted by the researcher in SD Negeri 1 Gununggiana, the researcher found students who experience constraints in online learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. This highly impacts the decrease of students' learning interests. Persuasive communication between parents and children is important to increase children's learning interests. Based on the problem above, the researcher is encouraged to conduct a study about Persuasive Communication between Parents and Children in Increasing Learning Interest in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The type of the study was qualitative descriptive. The subjects of the study were parents and 4-5th-grade students in SD Negeri 1 Gununggiana, while the object of the study was Persuasive Communication. The results of the study showed that persuasive communication between parents and children has a positive impact during the Covid-19 pandemic. Persuasive communication with cognitive coive impact, and the persuasion ability of parents is successful. Moreover, the method of promising something to children and giving gifts to children can increase children's learning interest even though it becomes a habit.
