Abstract

Grab Indonesia is a company headquartered in Singapore to serve online transportation service by motorcycle (GrabBike) and car (GrabCar). The news said about increasing GrabBike drivers income, that caused massive people want to become a Grabbike driver. The applicant massively increase, meanwhile the members who has been operate at this time in a big scale, it caused restriction for new applicant to join as a new member of Grab Indonesia company (driver or rider). This caused a field problem, one of the problem is the rent of account members either Motorcycle (GrabBike). This means the driver/partner is in violation of the company, because between member/driver and Grab Indonesia is in franchise relation that has a rules that named etic code of partner. The methodology of this study categorized by field research with a member of GrabBike drivers as main data. In this study researcher tries to describe the condition that consist in the field. This study uses a normative approach to studying the principles of Islamic Ethics that comprehend the Islamic Law which is sourced from Al-Quran and Al-Hadist, as well as using the law relate with the problem. The data collected by interviewing the person or company who eligible due the problem. Based on this study, in general the transaction of renting GrabBike account is eligible according to Islamic Business Ethics. The Principle of Islamic Business Ethics can be shown from the main activity of renting. The activity has been applied by the value and ethic of Islamic renting principles.
