Abstract

This research was conducted in the estimation area of the Kali Penggung fault in Kulonprogo, which is located in Hargorejo village, the district of Kokap and the regency of Kulonprogo. This study aims to determine the pattern of magnetic field anomaly distribution around the predicted Kali Penggung Fault line, to determine the underground structure around the predicted Kali Penggung Fault line, and to identify the predicted Kali Penggung Fault path based on geomagnetic modeling. Kali Penggung. Failure based on geomagnetic models. Data acquisition was carried out from 27 to 31 October 2021 using a Proton Precession Meter (PPM) with 63 observation points and a distance between points of 500 meters. Data processing includes daily variance correction, IGRF correction, pole pullback and continuation to the upside. The modeling was performed by analyzing the data of magnetic field anomalies reduced by pole reduction and upward continuation of 1000 meters. The results of the analysis show that the distribution of magnetic field anomaly values in the research area, in particular in the Kokap district, Kulonprogo Regency, has a range of values from -309 to 712.8
