Abstract

The research was field research with a qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach. The purpose of the research was to acknowledge the psychological well-being of farmers at Sido Dadi farm group and its affected factors. Four subjects were chosen with criteria as farmers, married, and has worked more than one year. Samples were collected using purposive sampling method in this research. Data of this research were collected using semi-organized interview and non-participant observation method. The procedure of data analysis consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result showed in which the well-being of three out of four subjects is forced to live a life as farmer. Furthermore, all four subjects had a good relationship with other society, able to take decision, and able to adapt in difficult situation, and have goals to be achieved. There were differences of all four subjects in term of self-development. Male farmers tent to be more socially active, while female farmers spent more time as a housewife after farming which leads to less socially active.
