Abstract

Aesthetic in spatial design is based on elements and design principles that can be explained rationally. The space in the interior has aesthetic characteristics according to the element for each field. The purpose of this research is to determine whether the applied layout is suitable with the aesthetic elements or not. The method of this research is case study with qualitative approach; namely analyzing non-numerical data such as interviews.The result of research in the library circulation room have aesthetic elements, namely: light, space, color, and texture. But in terms of spatial planning which includes bookshelves it is not suitable because the bookshelf is quite high so users have to use a bench to pick up books.
