Abstract
Feminist approach to Qur'an is a contemporary development in Tafsir. This approach has its tendention to appreciate equality in gender as a foundation for tafsir. Amina wadud is one among figures on this approach. She is considered by many as a controversial Islamic feminist and scholar. wadud's research specialities include gender and Qur'anic studies. She wrote a book on the subject, Qur'an and woman: Rereading the Sacred Text from a Woman's Perspective. This article tries to elaborate discourses developed by Wadud on Feminist Tafsir.
