Abstract

This research stems from the effect of obstacles faced by students of SMAN 1 Sumpiuh at the implementation of online learning on students’ learning motivation. As for some of these obstacles, such as not having a smartphone, not having an internet qoutas, or not having a stable internet signal at the area. This research aims to analyze the relationship and the effect’s magnitude of online learning on students’ learning motivation. This research uses a quantitative type of research which conduct at SMAN 1 Sumpiuh with the sample as much as 188 students of class XII. As for taking the samples in this research is using probability sampling technique. There are two variables in this research, that is the independent variable online learning and the dependent variable students learning’ motivation. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to all students from class XII high school and documentation to obtain school identity data. Meanwhile, the data that has been obtained is then analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using SPSS. The result of bivariate correlation analysis between online learning and students’ learning motivation show that a correlation coefficient in amount of 0,245 and a significance value in amount of 0,001 < a = 0,05. Based on that, there is positive relationship in the weak category between online learning and stundents’ learning motivation. The result from simple linear regression analysis obtained a coefficient of determination (R2) amount of 0,060 where the effect’s magnitude of online learning of students’ learning motivation is 6%. The regression equation Y=26,434 + 0,083X with t count > t table = 3,445 > 1,973. Dengan demikian, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means that there is a positive and significant effect of online learning on students’ learning motivation at SMAN 1 Sumpiuh. The higher level of online learning, so students’ learning motivation will increase and vice versa. The result of this research can contribute and be an evaluation for SMAN 1 Sumpiuh to improve the online learning system for better at the future.
