Abstract

Self-concept has an important role in an individual's life because it can affect the mindset and behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between family harmony and social interaction on self-concept in alter account users on Twitter. This research uses correlational quantitative method. The number of subjects is 200 alter account users on Twitter. Sampling method used is quota sampling technique. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient was 0.772 with a significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05), means that family harmony and social interaction had a significant relationship with the self-concept of alter account users. The results of the correlation analysis showed that t values were 7.530 and 9.968 and p = 0.000, means that there was a significant positive partial relationship between family harmony and social interaction with self-concept. The value of R square = 0.595 means that family harmony and social interaction together provide an effective contribution of 59.5% in influencing the self-concept of alter account users. The more positive the self-concept, the higher the family harmony and social interaction among alter account users on Twitter
