Abstract

Conflicts between religious minorities in Indonesia are still something that hinders people of any religion from carrying out worship according to their respective beliefs. As in the incident of the destruction of a house of worship in Griya Agape Housing, Tumaluntung Village, North Minahasa, North Sulawesi, which began with the circulation of the video of the destruction that provoked public anger. Then the Republika Daily Newspaper (SKH) also reported on the incident of the destruction of the house of worship, which in presenting the news, of course, had been adjusted to the interests of the media. The purpose of this research is to find out how the SKH Republika is framed in presenting the events of the destruction of houses of worship and after that to find out what kind of reporting patterns are giving signs where the frame of the Republika daily letter is. The method used to analyze the news is using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis. This research is included in a qualitative research whose data source is taken from the documentation, namely the SKH Republika February 2020 edition. The results of this research on the destruction of the al-Hidayah mushala, the Republika daily newspaper directs reporting on the destruction of houses of worship to enter the realm of legal issues which in the news process handled by the police. The reporting pattern is adapted to Entman's theory, namely the selection of issues and highlighting certain aspects, which include the pattern of issue emphasis, the pattern of resource selection and the pattern of reporting intensity.
