Abstract

integration with Islamic teachings in planning, implementation and evaluation of general subject learning and how students' perceptions towardthe integrated learning in MAN Model Palangka Raya. This study used a qualitative approach to four teachers of general subjects which, according to the writer’sconsideration, are possible to be integrated with the Islamic teachings. They are teachers of Physical Education of Health and Sports, Physics, Biology and Sociology. The teachers are choosen by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by interview, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis was conducted during the research process until it carried out to the conclusion. The analysis covered four steps, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and inference. In order to find the integration model as stated in the formulationof the problem, the obtaineddata were analyzed by using several theories of integration of science and Islamic teachings, namely the theory proposed by Ziauddin Sardar, which consists of the integration model by legitimating modern science with the verses of the holy Qur'an, Islamization and Islamic science, and the integration theory proposed by UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta team consisting of the model that is informative, confirmative, corrective, similar, parallel, complementing, comparative, certified and verified. The results of this study revealed that the integration model used in the planning and the implementation of learning are (1) integration model of legitimacy, similar; (2) integration model of Islamic science, verified, comparative; And (3), corrective model, xv filtering or Islamization. While the integration in learning evaluation used: (1) Islamic science model, verified, complementing and comparative, (2) integration model of legitimacy or similar, and received recognition from students that integrated learning is very positive in generating motivation and interest in learning. The integration of general subject matter with Islamic religious lessons should be the concern of all managers of madrasah education to develop an integration model that leads to Islamic science in a systemic learning management order, by enhancing the professionalism of teachers through training, improving the provision of integrated textbook facilities between Science and technology, and supervising that is more intensive at all stages of the learning process.
