Abstract

This study aims to develop a HOTS-based fourth grade thematic digital module, to know the process of developing a HOTS-based digital module, and to determine the effectiveness of a HOTS-based digital module on grade IV thematic material at SD Negeri Ciwuni 01 Cilacap. The research method used is a type of Research and Development (R & D). The model used is a modification of the model from Borg and Gall with nine stages as follows: (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) Develop preliminary of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision , (6) main field testing, (7) operational product revisions, (8) operational field testing, (9) final product revision. The results of this study include 1) an analysis of the need for a HOTSbased thematic digital module for grade IV SD included in the "Really Needed" category with an average value of 3.74. Media experts found a value of 4.39 with the "Very Good" category. Peers media experts found a value of 4.22 with the "Very Good" category. The material expert found a value of 4.14 in the "Good" category. Peers material experts get a score of 4.14 with the category "Good". Empirical validation of the e-module media was carried out on students and teachers. The results of the preliminary field trial got an average score of 3.92 in the "Good" category for student responses and 3.84 in the "Good" category for teacher responses. The results of the main field trial obtained an average score of 4.2 in the "Good" category for student responses and 4.21 in the "Good" category for teacher responses. 3) Test the effectiveness of the digital module with the condition that if the value of Sig < 0.05 then the desired decision is accepted. Independent T test results that the value of Sig. (0.000) < 0.05. Thus, the desired decision is accepted. Thus, there is a difference between the control class (IV A) and the experimental class (IV B) with the presence of a HOTS-based digital module in thematic learning that increases student learning outcomes at SD Negeri Ciwuni 01.
