Abstract

The research aims to know the role of the school library in supporting the learning process of the students at SD Muhammadiyah Ngijon I during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The method and collection technique used are observation, interview and documentation. The test for the validity of the date used triangulation. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out through three steps of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusion and verification. To determine the informants, the researchers used purposive sampling technique. The reaults of the research stated that the school library in supporting the learning process at SD Muhammadiyah Ngijon I during the Covid-19 pandemic can not be carried out optimally. It needs improvements either in services or facilities in the library especially when the learning is from home. Another obstacle experienced by the library is the lack of experts in the field of information technology to convey the information that needed by the students in meeting information needs. The efforts that were done by the library are to convey the information needed by the students using media that they can use, so the students do not miss informations during learning from home. Another effort made was to lend librar’y books or materials to take home an to be studied at home which are taken by the student’s parents.
