Abstract

This research contains the role of record management in assisting the decision made in cultural services of Sleman regency. The purpose of this research is to know the record management in cultural services of Sleman regency and to know the role of record management in assisting the decision made. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive. The method and the data collection technique used are observation, interview, and documentation. The test of the data's validaty uses the method of triangulation. The data-analysis techniques were reductive data, data presentation, and conclusion. The result states that the role of record management in cultural services of Sleman regency helps and facilitates the decision made. The activity of record management that was done in cultural service of Sleman regency includes the creation of record, record storage, record redeployment, and record use. The problem of the record management in cultural services of Sleman regency is the lack of human resources who have an archive background. The record management in cultural services of Sleman regency is managed by every sub-section of cultural services of Sleman regency.
