Abstract

Tourism is becoming a lifestyle even as a necessity in Indonesian society, especially nature tourism. Events and experiences are strategies used for visitors in nature tourism, especially in Jumprit Temanggung (Wapitt) Nature Tourism. This study aims to identify and analyze strategic events and experiences in attracting tourist visitors at Jumprit Temanggung Nature Tourism. This study uses a qualitative method. More over case study that uses descriptive data in words. Sources of data in this study was conducted by means of observation, interviews with owners and managers of Wapitt, and documentation. The phenomena in this study were analyzed using the concepts of planning, organization, actuating, and controlling from George R. Terry. The results showed that the event and experience strategy in attracting visitor interest carried out by Jumprit Temanggung Nature Tourism (Wapitt) was carried out by developing strategies from planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring to evaluation. Making events so that they can provide a memorable experience requires planning by setting target consumers, team building, budgeting, venues, equipment procurement, event concepts, and promotions. In addition, the concept, and strategy of cooperation with those involved must also be always maintained for the sake of Wapitt in the future.
