Abstract

For more than two years, the Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting the world, which has finally had an impact on education such as Islamic boarding schools. The policy learning during the Covid-19 pandemic that has been set by the government is the background of the Madrosatul Qur'an Islamic boarding school in making policies. Policy is a regulation or strategy that is deliberately made to facilitate the course of communication. Communication policy is available as a substitute for dealing with social issues that are of public interest and for achieving specific objectives in a institution or organization. Madrosatul Qur'an Islamic boarding school are institution that try to implement policies to maintain the learning system so that it continues, this is a form of sensitivity and concern for Islamic boarding schools in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to find out the policies made by the Madrosatul Qur'an Islamic boarding school. In this research the writer uses descriptive- qualitative research, because the problem study is an actual and factual so that the researcher can learn systematically and can describe according to existing social reality. In this study, the writer used a variety of data collection methods, participant observation, interviews, and documentation. The forms of policies on the Madrosatul Qur'an Islamic boarding school in Boyolali, Central Java include the policy of visiting students, policies in the admission of new students, holiday policies and the arrival of students, policies in Qur'an sermons, policies for formal school, Al-Qur'an memorization policies, sowan kiai policies. Then, the communication policy media use to include letters, brochures, pamphlet, whatsapp, instagram, facebook, and youtube. Supporting factors of communication policy: internal and external factors. Factors hindering communication policy: limited facilities and infrastructure, technology and communication tools, technological proficiency.
