Abstract

The Government of Indonesia through the Indonesian Ministry of Health No. 84 of 2020 provides one way to reduce virus transmission in order to reduce the number of positives and deaths due to Covid-19 and to achieve group immunity, namely by carrying out the Covid-19 vaccination which involves various institutions to help run this vaccination program, such as the Ministry of Health, Regional Government, Army Indonesian National Police and the Republic of Indonesia Police (POLRI). This study aims to find out how the process of persuasive communication techniques carried out by Bhabinkamtibmas at the Teluk Betung Timur Police, Bandar Lampung in socializing the Covid-19 vaccination. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach and persuasive communication theory. Data collection methods are interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were Bhabinkamtibmas and the people of Teluk Betung Timur Police, Bandar Lampung with purposive sampling technique. The results shows that the persuasive communication carried out by Bhabinkamtibmas applied persuasive communication techniques and worked effectively as evidenced by the good feedback in the form of high public enthusiasm when attending vaccination activities and an increase in the number of Covid-19 vaccinations in Bandar Lampung which reached 99.94%.
