Abstract

This study aims to understand how the image of hardiness in makeup artists who have experienced the impact of the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Informants in this study were two people who have a business in the field of beauty, namely as a makeup artist. This research was conducted based on the phenomenon of disease outbreaks that reached all countries in the world, including Indonesia. Makeup artists are one of the UKM that have suffered losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the study found several themes, namely a description of hardiness to the problems being faced and how to get out of problems that make stress rise to change things for the better. Then the hardiness emerges when there is a commitment to the action taken and is able to turn the stress in the problem into a challenge for good change.
