Abstract

Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic has caused several problems in students, one of which is the decrease in learning motivation. Of many various factors that exist, authoritative parenting is one of the external factors related to student learning motivation. This study aims to determine the correlation between authoritative parenting and student learning motivation in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were students of class XII (twelve) of SMA Negeri 1 Majenang which amounted to 54 female students and 34 male students. The method used in this study is correlational quantitative. Data analysis using pearson product moment correlation technique with SPSS software version 20.0. The results of this study show that there is a positive correlation between authoritative parenting and student learning motivation. The higher level of authoritative parenting that students get, the higher level of learning motivation students had. The result of R2 = 0.072 which means the effective contribution of authoritative parenting to student learning motivation is 7.2% and the rest is influenced by other factors such as culture, school, personal children's self, giving numbers, competition and competition, ego-involvement, giving tests, informing learning outcomes, and praise.
