Abstract

Research on the characterization of TLD-100 has been carried out in the Cesium-137 and beta Strontium-90 gamma radiation fields. The research method used is a quantitative method. The sample consisted of 490 TLD chips, with 480 TLDs irradiated with Cesium-137 and 10 TLDs irradiated with Strontium-90. The material used in this research is TLD LiF: Mg,Ti (TLD-100) and has a square chip with a side length of 3.2 mm x 3.2 mm and a thickness of 0.89 mm. The research data consisted of two types, primary data, namely data using Cesium-137 gamma radiation and secondary data, namely data using Strontium-90 beta radiation. This study aims to determine the relative response and calibration factor of the TLD and analyze the glow curve from the extraction of WebPlotdigitizer. The results of the analysis of the relative response showed linearity at intervals of 30-40 nC, and the results of the calibration factor showed a linearity value of 69.4%. The greater the mean value of the TLD net response, the smaller the value of the calibration factor. There were 20 TLD groups in this study based on their deviation values, namely 9 groups with deviation <1%, 5 groups with deviation between 1-2%, and 6 groups with deviation between 2-3%. The smaller the deviation, the more uniform the TLD response. TLD glow curve analysis is seen from the position of the glow peak and the position of the foot of the curve on the x-axis. The percentage difference in glow peak for TLD irradiated with Cs-137 was 57% and a shift of 2%. TLD irradiated Sr-90 has a difference of 20% with a shift of 19%. The peak position determines the trap depth on each TLD chip.
