Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between self-compassion and tawakal with anxiety experienced by pregnant women. The method used in this research is correlational quantitative. The participating subjects were 70 pregnant Muslim women and resided in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data analysis was performed using multiple regression analysis method (two predictors). The results showed that the major hypothesis was accepted. There is a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and tawakal with anxiety experienced by pregnant women (F(2;67) = 15; p < 0.001; R2 = 0.309). The results of the partial self-compassion test showed that there was a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and anxiety experienced by pregnant women (t(67)= 4.18; p < 0.001) which means the first minor hypothesis is accepted. The effective contribution (SE) of the self-compassion variable to the anxiety of pregnant women is 24.9%. Then, the results of the partial test of tawakkal showed that there was no relationship between tawakkal and anxiety experienced by pregnant women (p = 0.139), which means the second minor hypothesis was rejected. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that pregnant women's anxiety can be predicted using the formula Y = 158,530 + (-0,930)X1 +(-0,313)X2.
