Abstract

Journal is a scholarly publication that are usually published by researchers and discuss about the current development in certain fields. Over time, there will be more journal articles that have a variety of topics. Therefore, this study was conducted to find out about topics that often appears in journal to be used as reference material for future research. This study aims to do topic modeling analysis on IJID (International Journal on Informatics for Development) to find out about topic trend and which topic that often appear on it. The data that is used are 124 abstracts ranging from 2012 – 2022. The method that is used in this study is Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). Based on the research conducted, it is concluded that there are 6 dominant topics, that is “Information System”, “Method Research”, “Human-Computer Interaction”, “Networking Technology”, “Internet & Mobile Computing”, and “Networking”. The words distribution percentage of topics are ranging from 39.1% until 3.7%. Based on the result, the topic “Information System” dominates IJID.
