Abstract

Over time, the practice of buying and selling has also experienced developments related to goods and services being traded, one of which is buying and selling premium accounts for an application on social media (Twitter). Activities in the entertainment sector around watching movies, series, and other viewing entertainment, nowadays are never far from streaming service provider platforms. Netflix is a subscription-based streaming service that allows subscribers or viewers to watch movies on devices connected to the internet without ads. One of them is selling Netflix accounts through social media (Twitter). In the DSN MUI Fatwa No. 110/DSN-MUI/IX/2017 concerning the Sale and Purchase Agreement, it is stated that mutsman/mabi' or goods sold must be in the form of goods and/or rights that may be used according to sharia and the applicable laws and regulations. The type of research used in this research is qualitative field research. This research method uses a descriptive analytical technique with a normative juridical approach. This research was taken by using primary data obtained from interviews with informants. Secondary data sources obtained from observations, books, journals, al-Qur'an, al-Hadith and other sources. The results of the study show that this buying and selling practice is contrary to the stipulated rules that commercialization without the permission of the application provider is prohibited. While in the DSN MUI Fatwa No. 110/DSN-MUI/IX/2017 explains that the provisions on mutsman/mabi' of goods being traded must be stated explicitly and clearly and understood by both the seller and the buyer. Both must meet the pillars and conditions. Then that the practice of buying and selling is not completely buying and selling but there are several accounts that transact leases.
