Abstract

Youtube as one of the new media that is often accessed by the public because of the many and varied content causes them to choose to watch any content. One of the content that people like is mystical content. One of the content creators that exists in Indonesian Youtube users is Kisah Tanah Jawa. This research was conducted to determine the public's perception in mystical shows on the Youtube Channel Kisah Tanah Jawa. This process of perception is seen from the process of sensation, attention and interpretation. The basic theory used is the mystical theory (Bungin, 2015). In this theory, the mystique is divided into four dimensions namely ritualistic, interaction, visualization, and character. The approach method in this study is qualitative, with a descriptive type of research. The method used for data collection is the method of observation and direct interviews with informants, namely the people of Nitikan Barat Village. The results of this study show that the perception of the people of Nitikan Barat Village seen from the usefulness of the show has a positive impression because in addition to adding insight to the audience, it can also be a means of strengthening faith in Allah SWT and avoiding musyrik actions.
