Abstract

The study is the educational background of Islam in this era. It shall be used as guidelines for human life and as the main instrument to understand the meaning of life beginning to fade due to various aspects, such as less fanatical Muslims themselves in understanding aspects of their religion or outside such as the existence of some influence in the daily life of the other religions, happens in the village of Andong. It is the one who can shift the Existence of Islamic education in it even to guide life in society becoming the second guideline, not a primary. The problem is the influence of Christian missionary education on Islamic education in Andong Village, the influence of Christian mission on the mindset of Muslims in Andong and the response of Muslims in response to Christian missionary in it. This study aims to describe and critically analyze the influence of Christian missionary on Islamic education existence Andong Village, Butuh, Purworejo. This study is a qualitative research. This type of research is field research that the research is conducted by going directly to the site studies and participatory studies involving direct observation of the researcher in it, in depth interviews and documentation. The approach used in this study is the approach to the sociology of religion, a study of a series of events, institutions, organizations and patterns of behavior in people's lives. So the researcher tries to understand the events, phenomena and social action in the community with the goal of religion as a social manifestation. Data analyze is done by giving meaning to the data and finally conclusions are drawn. The results show: (1) Christianization in the village of Andong still has small enough percentage, because the author was able to see through the existing statistical data in every year there is not always it residents of this villager who converted from Islam to Christianity, but although until now there still spread the word of the people, Christians as a basis to run their holy books. (2) Some Muslims In Andong Village has been some thinking that was already started mixed with the thinking of Christians who were there, this is because there are several missions that search for the target of change of the mindset of the Muslims, the guidelines leave the religion of Islam but Christian paradigm. (3) Participation and awareness of religious community are very enthusiastic and support the creation of religious harmony. This is reflected in a variety of existing community activities, or activities that are programmed by the government or by religious figures.
