Abstract

The Indonesian economy, especially the Indonesian capital market, experienced difficult times when the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Many factors affect the return of an investment. Among the economic factors that influence it are inflation, interest rates (B1-7DRR), and the industrial production index (IPI). Which macroeconomic variables directly have a negative and positive impact on the return on the health sector stock index in the Indonesian capital market. This study aims to determine the effect of macro variables consisting of inflation, interest rates, and IPI partially and simultaneously on returns on the health stock index during the pandemic. The research design is a quantitative study using multiple linear regression analysis using time series data for the period 2019m10-2022m10. The results of this study show that inflation and interest rates (B1-7DRR) partially have no effect on the return of the health sector stock index and the industrial production index (IPI) which have a significant negative effect on the return of the Islamic stock index. Simultaneously, it shows that inflation, interest rates, and the value of the industrial production index have a significant influence on the stock index return for the health sector.
