Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analysis and compare the effectiveness of both in terms of the transmission mechanism of monetary conventional dan Islamic through the asset price channel in controlling in inflation in Indonesia. So this study has two models (conventional and Islamic) using Vector Auto Regressive (VAR). Variables on the conventional side used the money supply, bonds, Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI), and Intermarket money bank (PUAB). While on the Islamic side variables used the money supply, Islamic bonds, Bank Indonesia Certificates Sharia (SBIS), and intermarket money bank sharia (PUAS). Data process employ stasioner test, cointregation test, causality test, impulse response functions analysis and variance decomposition. This research results showed the transmission mechanism of monetary Islamic through the asset price channel contribute more than the transmission mechanism of monetary conventional in influencing inflation.
