Abstract

Sabilu taubah is a new taklim assembly which has successfully attracted society. Accumulated to the recent year of 2022, this assembly has had 2875 people. This achievement will not be appeared without a men called da'i also as the director of taklim assembly. He is Agus Muhammad Iqdam, the youth and figure of NU in Karanggayam, Srengat, Blitar. This research was done by some purposes; first, to know the da'wah rhetoric used by Agus Muhammad Iqdam in an effort to increase the religiosity of the congregation of in the Sabilu Taubah taklim assembly. Second, to know how Agus Muhammad Iqdam's rhetoric can affect to the religiosity level of people in the Sabilu Taubah taklim assembly. The research method applied is eksploratory sequential design or precede the qualitative then analyzed by the quantitative research. Through this mixed method research approach, the researcher could be easier find that first, Agus Muhammad Iqdam or Gus Iqdam was not only preaching but he still holds some elements such as ethos (h}ikmah), pathos (al-mau’id}ah hasanah), logos (‘al-Jidal billati hiya ahsan) in the preaching rhetorics. From those, the one that has the biggest effect to the people is pathos dimension. In this case, people feel comfort with Gus Iqdam's speech which is not impressed forcing anybody to be good person, but slowly brings everyone to leave forbidden things as religion said. Secondly, according to double linear regression tested to 97 respondents claimed that da'wah rhetoric of Gus Iqdam has a significant impact simultaneously. It is known that the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable has a significance or sig value. of 0.000 < 0.05. This is reinforced by the Fcount value of 582.739 where the value is > Ftable which is 2.70. While the value of the coefficient of determination or R Square is 0.949. This means that the independent variables in this study simultaneously contribute to the dependent variable by 94.9%, while the remaining 5.1% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. In addition, the magnitude of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is 0.974 which indicates the relationship is in the strong and positive category, meaning that if the independent variable is increased, the religiosity of the congregation will also increase.
