Abstract

Kalijaga State Islamic University, Yogyakarta. 2022. Gender equality is one of the issues that attracts a lot of public attention. Various kinds of cases occurred in the national and international spheres. As one of the women's Islamic organizations in Indonesia, PW Fatayat NU DIY for the 2017-2022 solemn period seeks to participate in socializing gender equality. Through the existing fields and institutions, various work programs have been formed that are in accordance with the main tasks of each and have one common goal, namely to socialize gender equality. As for Fatayat's work program, it is packaged based on the ahlussunnah wal jama'ah, so that it becomes interesting and deserves to be developed and strengthened in its implementation. Then, to carry out various kinds of Fatayat's work program plans, communication management is needed in order to realize the goals. The theory used is communication management theory. This research method is descriptive qualitative by collecting data from the field through interviews with the main informant Chairperson of PW Fatayat NU DIY for the 2017-2022 Khotimatul Husna period and supported by other informants, as well as with documentation. The data analysis technique uses a deductive communication management analysis. Data validity technique is done by means of triangulation. The results of this study explain that the communication management of PW Fatayat NU DIY for the 2017-2022 solemn period uses management stages which are supported by elements of communication in them. The stages of communication management are planning, organizing, implementing and supervising. Communication planning consists of field analysis to determine vision and mission formulation, then analyze internal and external conditions. Organizing communication is done by identifying alternative programs and departmentalizing the preparation of work programs. Implementation of communication through three stages, namely the pre-socialization of the program, the stage of persuasion in shaping public attitudes and acceptance of the gender equality socialization program. Communication control in this study is seen from success standards, assets, obstacles and development plans. After that, an evaluation of the work program was carried out both after each activity was completed or as a whole during the five years of management and recommendations for future activities were given for improvement.
