Abstract

Sukuk are futures securities issued regarding to sharia principles that require investee to pay to the holder of the letter in the form of a proceeds and must pay it back when due date. Sukuk are also one of the sources of finance for sharia-based companies. Although the growth of sukuk increases every year, there will be several obstacles that hinder the growth of the sukuk. Sukuk growth can be influenced by macroeconomics. This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, exchange rate, Indonesia Composite Index/IDX Composite, Gross domestic product (GDP), and the money supply to the value of corporate sukuk in Indonesia using the VECM method. The results of this study shows that the inflation and exchange rate variables have a negative effect on the value of corporate sukuk, while the variables of Indonesia Composite Index/IDX Composite, Gross domestic product (GDP), and money supply have a positive effect on the value of corporate sukuk. The variable that has the most influence is the GDP variable.
