Abstract

The early adult individual should have been able to use his qualities and have good emotional development and respond well to problems, but the fact is that early adult individuals could not all interpret the demands and changes positively. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. This study aims to determine the relationship between career maturity and Quarter Life Crisis in individuals of early adulthood. The subjects in this study were individuals aged 18-29 years, who lived in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, amounting to 125 people. The sampling technique in this study used a quota sampling technique. Data collection tools in this study used 2 scales, namely the career maturity scale and the Quarter Life Crisis scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson product moment correlation test technique. The results show that there is a negative relationship between career maturity and quarter life crisis in individuals of early adulthood. The higher the career maturity, the lower the quarter life crisis level. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient of -0.236 with p value = 0.008. The effective contribution of career maturity to the quarter life crisis is 5.6%.
