Abstract

Education is basically an interaction between teachers and students. The teaching and learning process is composed of a number of interrelated components. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced all schools and teachers to conduct online learning. Teachers are challenged to carry out learning by making an innovation so that learning can run well and can make students active. The objectives of this study are as follows: 1) In order to know the management of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMPN 1 Kota Besi. 2) To find out the activity of students in learning during the Covid-19 period at SMPN 1 Kota Besi. 3) To find out the key to success in managing teacher learning that can make students active in learning during the Covid-19 period at SMPN 1 Kota Besi. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data was collected using unstructured interviews, the data sources were obtained from documentation, photos, and videos and checked the validity of the data by triangulating the sources and then drawing conclusions. Based on the results of a study entitled Management of Online Learning in Increasing Student Activity During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period at SMPN 1 Kota Besi, it was found that: 1) Teachers at SMPN 1 Kota Besi had met the requirements for teacher performance standards by making teaching plans and implementing them well. 2) When learning takes place, students can be active in learning, students feel comfortable in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic with encouragement and innovation from teachers at SMPN 1 Kota Besi. 3) The teacher has succeeded in meeting the performance standards of the teacher who acts as a motivator and as a manager in learning.
