Abstract

Religious moderation is an attitude of balanced view and the practice of worship in religion that is not excessive. Researcher sees that there are still students who do not understand their religion kaffah, and do not understand their culture and the lack of understanding and application of the values on the religious moderation in the Tahfizh Wihdatul Ummah boarding school. This can be seen when researcher conducted direct learning and in-depth observations in the cottage. The researcher identified a problem, namely the difference in the level of understandings between educators and students especially for the attitude of religious moderation and not the limits of being moderate. This study aims to collect data and information from the real life through doing the field research in order to solve practical problems that exist in society, as they are presented in the form of reports and descriptions of the Internalization of Religious Moderation Values Through Islamic Education at the Tahfidzul Quran Wihdatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School Bengkulu. So, the data obtained in this study are not in the form of numbers, but the data collected in the form of spoken words that include reports. The research method used in the field research on descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were determined using a snowball sampling technique, namely students and lecturers. Data was collected through interviews and in-depth observations. The data validity test in this study is triangulation of sources and techniques. The data analysis technique used through data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of the study showed that first, the moderate attitude of the santri religion develops by internalizing religious values that have the principles of equivalence and fairness. Not only focusing on one lesson, but murabbi interconnected in every subject teaching with an internalization process, in the form of 3 stages, namely the value of transformation stage, the value of transaction stage, and the transinternalization found against the At-Tasamuh indicator (tolerance), At-Tawazun (balanced) At-Tawassuth (Middle), I'tidal (Upright Straight), and Shura (Deliberation). Second, the implications of inculcating the values of religious moderation through Islamic education at the Tahfizh Wihdatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School can be found to have positive implications, because the researcher focused on developing and understanding religious and behavior. both in meetings during learning and in their daily lives at home and in the community. This is aimed at the implications of attitudes in the form of implementing 5S habits (Smile, Greet, Greetings, Polite and Polite), relationships with God and fellow human beings, and respect the differences of opinion.
