Abstract

Education is one of the things that must be fulfilled by every human being, with education being able to be better at dealing with existing problems, including in the learning process, teachers must know and master what is needed in the learning process, one of which is E-LKPD, Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are higher order thinking skills that have cognitive strategies in solving more complex problems. In the learning process the teaching materials that are often used are E-LKPD, however, the E-LKPD that is used only tests theory. Based on the demands of the 21st century students are required to think critically, creatively, be able to solve problems and be able to communicate and work together. Therefore, HOTS was chosen to be innovated in the development of the Science E-LKPD, so this study aims to develop HOTS-based Science E-LKPD to train students' critical thinking skills. This research method uses development research (R&D). The procedure used in this study is the procedure of the 4D research and development design by Thiagarajan and Semmel which is modified to include define, design, development and disseminate. . The research carried out resulted in a HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD product on energy material and its changes in class IV MI Al-Ishlah Jepara. The research instrument consisted of interview guidelines, needs analysis, validation questionnaire sheets and student response questionnaires. Data analysis produces qualitative data obtained from the revision results based on the validator's suggestions, input and comments. Meanwhile, quantitative data is obtained by making a percentage of the average score and categorized. The results of this study are that the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD is declared feasible to use. This can be seen from the results of expert validation consisting of media experts of 94% with very valid criteria, material expert assessment of 91% with very valid criteria, the average expert validation is 82.33% with very valid criteria so that E-LKPD HOTS-based IPA is feasible to use. The HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD is stated to be practical. This was obtained from the expert user (teacher) assessment of 92% with very practical criteria and a questionnaire filled out by 16 students after using the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD obtained an average of 89% in the "Very Practical" category. Meanwhile, the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD to train critical thinking skills was declared effective, based on the results of the hypothesis test (Lilliefors Kolmogorov-Smirnov). Student learning outcomes experienced an increase in scores between before and after using the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD through statistical test results (Paired Samples Statistics). The value obtained before using the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD was an average of 7.0484 with a standard deviation of 0.63711 and after using the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD increased to an average value of 8.4677 with a standard deviation of 0.68234. There is a difference in the average value before and after using the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD product, namely 1.4193. Meanwhile, the t-test (Paired Sample Statistics) has a sig (2-tailed) value that is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). This means that the significant value of the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD is less than 0.05. Based on this, the H1 hypothesis test is accepted. So it can be concluded that the HOTS-based IPA E-LKPD is declared feasible and effective for training critical thinking skills
