Abstract

The success of a lesson cannot be separated from the role of the teacher in managing a lesson and the methods used. In order for the expected learning objectives to be achieved, SMPIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta in its learning uses the experiential learning method, a method for introducing material objects to students, in order to gain an understanding of the material through practical experience. This thesis research was conducted at SMPIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta, which offers a learning approach based on experiential learning. With research objectives: 1). Describe the concept of experiential learning at SMPIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. 2). Describe the implementation of experiential learning-based learning management in improving the quality of learning at SMPIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. 3) Describe the impact of experiential learning management on improving the quality of learning. The type of research used by researchers is field research. The approach used is descriptive analysis approach, a qualitative method for describing and interpreting to study knowledge and understand human behavior in environmental culture. The data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis uses data reduction techniques, data presentation (data display), and checking the validity of the data through triangulation and then drawing conclusions. Research results on the implementation of experiential learning-based learning management in improving the quality of learning show that: First, the concept of experiential learning management that is carried out is planning learning, teaching according to KD and KI, organizing and setting as activities required by the teacher. Second, experiential learning management includes all planning, implementation and evaluation, focused on the implementation of experiential learning. Third, the impact of learning management in improving the quality of learning for students is able to provide clear outputs, such as increasing understanding and knowledge (cognitive aspects, cooperative behavior between students, (affective aspects) of students' skills (psychomotor aspects).
