Abstract

Happiness is an important thing in life because everyone needs to feel comfortable with happiness. Psychological theory and research prefer to use a more precise and operationally defined term, namely subjective well-being. The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of forgiveness and spirituality on the subjective well-being of non-permanent educators. The research subjects used non-permanent teaching staff at SMK N in the City of Yogyakarta. The data collection tool uses the forgivenessscale, spirituality scale and subjective well-being , each of which has an alpha coefficient (reliability) of 0.769, 0.915 and 0.888. Sampling uses the saturated sample method, which is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that (1) the variable forgiveness on subjective well-being has an r value of 0.338 and a significance value or p=0.000. If the significance value = 0.000 (p <0.005) it means that there is a positive effect between and forgiveness subjective wellbeing . The more positive forgiveness , the higher the subjective well-being of non-permanent educators. (2) The variable spirituality on subjective well-being has an r value of 0.301 and a significance value or p=0.000. If the significance value = 0.000 (p <0.005) it means that there is a significant positive influence between spirituality and subjective well-being . The more positive the level of spirituality, the more positive the subjective well-being of non-permanent educators.variables Forgiveness and spirituality subjective well-being has an r value of 0.608 and a significance value or p = 0.000. If the significance value = 0.000 (p <0.005) it means that there is a positive effect of forgiveness and spirituality on the subjective well-being of educators who are not simultaneously significant. The higher the value of forgiveness and spirituality, the higher the value of subjective well-being of non-permanent educators. Thus the hypothesis in this study is accepted. The effective contribution of the forgetfulness and spirituality variables to subjective well-being is 0.369 (36.9%), meaning that the higher the forgiveness and spirituality they have, the higher the subjective well-being of non-permanent educators.
