Abstract

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world. According to the National Cancer Institute, there are many types of cancer treatment. Chemotherapy is one of the cancer treatments with the method of administering drugs into the sufferer's body. The research entitled “Mathematical Model of the Effect of Chemotherapy on Cancer”, has a problem formulation of how to form a mathematical model of the effect of chemotherapy on cancer. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of a mathematical model of the effect of chemotherapy on cancer. This research uses the method of literature study or literature review. The sources used in this study are Indonesian and English literature that discuss cancer, chemotherapy and mathematical models. The literature is studied and discussed with mathematicians. The theoretical basis used is cancer, chemotherapy, and mathematical modeling. Based on the analysis performed, it was conluded that a chemotherapy drug (doxurubicin0 has a positive effect on cancer cells in the recovery of cancer patients.
