Abstract

Long Distance Marriage is a kind of marriage relationship which the husband and wife were separated by physical distance that does not allow physical proximity for a certain period of time, and usually for the sake of the couple's career. One of the factors that is caused long distance marriage is the demands of a job.Supporting factors in the process of communication between husband and wife in long distance marriage are the existence of communication tools, giving each other time to communicate, having an attitude of mutual openness and honesty with one another. The fact that happened in Weleri village is that many people have given up on their education, because according to them the level of education does not guarantee a better life. So that many women from the community choose to work abroad to become migrant workers. Because of the high interest of Weleri village women on the TKW profession, it would be interesting to study it from the perspective of their family management in maintaining family resilience, which is basically implemented a long distance marriage. This field research uses the qualitativeapproach. This research uses primary (the result of the interview) and secondary data (related literature) as the data sources and uses interview, observation, and documentationas the data collection method. This research uses descriptive analysis method with the dhaw>abit maslahah al-Bu>thi and structure functionalism Talcot Parsons as the tool of analysis. The results of this research shows that in carrying out the TKW profession, implementing LDM management with various things to strengthen the family can take several steps, they are; open communication between LDM implementer both when they are far apart, there is trust and commitment, there is a regular schedule of meetings in every single new contract that is upgraded mostly in every 2 years.LDM management for TKW actors fulfills the four schemes of Adaptation, Goal Attainment, and Integration, and Latency (pattern maintenance). Furthermore, the LDM management of TKW actors in this case has two conditions, they are: first, the LDM management of TKW actors does not conflict with higher maslahah, and second, it is contradictory. The LDM management of TKW actors does not conflict with maslahah if it is considered as a dharurat in the field of work and its main goal is hifdz an-nasl and it is contradictory if it is only for the sake of material pleasure in terms of collecting wealth which in this case al-Buthi considers it to be the reason of working for hifdz al-māl.
