Abstract

This research aims to (1) produce interactive teaching materials that have been developed based on local potential of making Mbah Nyemuk’s jenang on temperature and heat materials for High School students, (2) determine the quality of interactive teaching materials that have been developed based on local potential (3) determine the response students to interactive teaching materials that have been developed based on local potential. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research. The procedure for developing this research uses a 4-D model, which includes 4 stages, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Disseminate. This research is limited to the develop stage, which is a limited trial. The research instruments were instrument and product validation sheets, interactive teaching material quality assessment sheets and student response sheets. Validation was carried out by two material experts and two media experts, while the assessment was carried out by two material experts, two media experts and a physics teacher. Assessment of the quality of interactive teaching materials using a Likert scale with 4 scales and student responses using the Guttman scale in the form of a checklist. The results of this research is interactive teaching materials based on local potential for making Mbah Nyemuk’s jenang on temperature and heat material for High School students. The quality of interactive teaching materials based on the assessment of material experts and media experts has good criteria (B) and very good (SB) with a mean score of 3.08 and 3.78, and the assessment of physics teachers has very good criteria (SB) with a mean score of 3, 85. Meanwhile, the students' responses to the limited test obtained the criteria for agreeing with a mean score of 0.90.
