Abstract

Curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content, teaching materials and methods used as a reference for the implementation of learning activities to achieve certain educational goals. The curriculum has a flexible nature which means it can change according to the times and technology. In 2013 the curriculum in Indonesia officially changed to the 2013 curriculum. Then in 2022 the curriculum has changed, namely the Independent Curriculum. This study aims to determine the differences in the content of the 2013 Early Childhood Education Curriculum and the Independent Curriculum for Early Childhood Education in aspects of language development. The research method used is library studies (Library Research), which is a series of research activities to collect relevant information. This library research uses a type of research with a comparative approach, namely research conducted to find out or test the differences between two groups and even more. Comparative research can also compare different variables to find a causal relationship. The result of this study is that the language development aspects of the 2013 Early Childhood Education curriculum consist of several development programs, namely six aspects of child development. the 2013 curriculum forms competencies, namely Core Competencies and Basic Competencies. The focus on the 2013 curriculum of Early Childhood Education is that children are able to understand receptive language, children are able to express language, and literacy. Meanwhile, the Independent Curriculum on language development focuses on literacy. In the aspect of language development, the Merdeka Curriculum also aims to understand receptive, expressive and literacy language. The Merdeka curriculum uses Learning outcomes (CP) to find out the abilities at each stage that have been stimulated.
