Abstract

This study aims to analyze the variables that affect the level of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. The variables used in this reasearch is exports, imports, inflation and exchange rates. Starting from January 2015 to December 2021. The data used is time series data. Source of data obtained from the official website of Central Agency on Statistic Indonesia and Central Bank of Indonesia. The data analysis used in this research is eviews version 10. The test method used was the Error Correction Model (ECM). The results of the research explain that exports have a positive effect on foreign exchange reserves in the long and short term. Imports in the long and short term have negative on foreign exchange reserves. Inflation in the short term has a negative effect, while in the long term inflation has no effect on foreign exchange reserves. The exchange rate has no effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves in the short term, whereas in the long term the exchange rate has a positive effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves.
