Abstract

This study aims to determine the social changes that occurred before and after the existence of the glove factory in the Argodadi Village community in the social, economic, health, educational and environmental fields, and to determine the impact felt by the Argodadi Village community since the industrialization of the glove factory. This research is a qualitative research,data collection techniques by conducting observation, interviews, and documentation, with interview techniques conducted with 25 informants from the Argodadi village community consisting of 3 communities around the factory, 18 factory workers, 2 farmers, 1 village official or RT, 1 person in charge of the glove factory. The results of this study indicate that the existence of PT. The positive impact of Marvel Sports International in Argodadi Village was felt by the people of Argodadi Village, the factory was able to prosper the people of Argodadi Village who were still lagging behind, especially in the economic field. There is a shift in livelihood. The factory industry is a necessity for people to be realistic and think ahead to fulfill the ownership of living facilities. There are negative impacts, namely the reduction of agricultural land into industry, air pollution which is worrying but that does not necessarily make the community ask PT.Marvel Sports International to leave Argodadi Village. The factory in contributing or CSR also improves and adds innovation to the welfare of society. Contributions made by factories in the social, economic, educational, health aspects, which are directly eg free medical treatment and the procurement of vaccines by factories for the community. There are negative and positive impacts felt by the construction of a glove factory.
