Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using WhatsApp on learning information after the Covid-19 pandemic for MA NU students Raudlatul Mu'allimin Demak. Whatsapp is the most popular chat application in demand by the public. Until the Covid-19 pandemic, WhatsApp was one of the most used applications. One of them is in the field of education, WhatsApp is a tool for disseminating learning information. The government issued a policy that learning is done online. In addition to the internet network, the obstacle experienced by teachers is that students tend to ignore information that has been disseminated via WhatsApp. However, after 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic subsiding, the MA NU Raudlatul Mu'allimin Demak school returned to normal. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in students becoming dependent on smartphones and reducing literacy in textbooks. This study uses quantitative methods with determinant theory. Data collection used a survey method in the form of distributing questionnaires to 77 respondents from MA NU Raudlatul Mu'allimin Demak students using a random sampling technique. Based on a simple linear regression test using SPSS Version 19, the effect of using whatsapp was 89.6%, while 10.4% was caused by other factors. The significance value obtained is 0.000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
