Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between intensity of watching Asian drama and body image in adolescent. The hypothesis of this research was negative correlation between intensity of watching Asian drama and body image in adolescent. The population of this research was students in SMK Abdi Negara Muntilan and the samples were 81 girl students. The instrument used to measure variables in this research was questionnaire. There were two questionnaires: body image questionnaire and intensity of watching questionnaire. It was analyzed by Spearman’s correlation. The research results showed that there was unsignificant positive correlation intensity of watching Asian drama and body image in adolescent, with r =0,094 dan p = 0,202 (p> 0,005). Therefore, hypothesis was refused. The research results showed that intensity of watching to Asian drama didn’t have any influence to body image in adolescent.
