Abstract

In the development of advertising it self, a commercial advertising competition is so tight, both in terms of advertising agencies that handle, creative ideas, loyalty to clients and others. While more attention to non-commercial advertisement content of the messages that would be delivered. This study departs from interested researchers about the environment. When there is a public service announcement about the environment that appeared in the New Town area researchers wanted to know how the effectiveness of billboard advertisement "Civilized People Filing and Put Trash In Place" to the user community Jalan Abu Bakar Ali, Kota Baru, Yogyakarta. The choice of billboard advertisement "Civilized People Filing and Put Trash In It's" because the advertisement are a very strategic installation, then there has been no research done on advertisement and this research could eventually find out how the effectiveness of billboard advertisement to users Abu Bakar Ali Road, Kota Baru, Yogyakarta. The methodology used in this study using a descriptive survey method. While the approach is performed using the Quantitative and data retrieval is done by questionnaire or a questionnaire method with reference to questions that have tested the validity and reliability, because the descriptive survey type research. To measure how the effectiveness of billboard advertisement "Civilized People Filing and Put Trash In Place" to users of Abu Bakar Ali Road, Kota Baru, Yogyakarta will use the analysis of the EPIC model. From the results of research and calculations show that the billboard advertisement "Civilized People Filing and Put Trash In Place" to users of Abu Bakar Ali Road New City of Yogyakarta that is for empathy dimension has a score of 2.87 and 3.09 where the dimensions of persuasion is the score of this dimension is the score highest than the other dimensions, dimensions of impact has a score of 3.04 and scores on the dimensions of communications have been show to score 2.99. While the average scores of the EPIC model for 3.00 and if the scale seen in the category of effective assessment.
