Abstract

Stunting is a condition where children experience impaired growth and development, characterized by a shorter than the standard body in the first 1000 days of life. The high rate of stunting in Indonesia is of particular concern to the government. By 2024, the government aims to reduce the stunting rate by 14%. Srunggo 2 Hamlet, located in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, has had the highest stunting rate in Selopamioro Sub-district since 2019. Seeing this, the Puskesmas Imogiri II has provided communication efforts in the form of socialization in Srunggo 2 Hamlet. By providing this socialization, the community should understand more about stunting, what the dangers are, how to prevent it, and how to overcome it if stunting has occurred. But in fact, the stunting rate in Srunggo 2 has increased. This is evidenced by the data that in July 2022, the number of stunting cases in Srunggo 2 was 16. From September to November 2022, the number rose to 24 cases. This proves that the communication process that occurs is still not optimal and there are problems. This study aims to analyze the communication audit on stunting counseling in Srunggo 2 Hamlet. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a communications audit analysis method of the organizational communication profile model. This research shows that several things become obstacles in the counseling process, including the lack of maximum use and utilization of communication media, the lack of frequency of counseling, and less than maximum coordination with the village.
